Underground tour
The Old Town terrain had to be artificially increased in 13th century, due to frequent flooding. Visit the 12th century Old Town houses, wells and cisterns, hidden 6 to 8 meters under today’s street level. Later, parts of the underground were used as a prison. Find the 17th and 18th century prisoners‘ names engraved in one of the medieval portals.
